Scaggs - Katherine Roach

Friends here have received word of the death of Mrs. Katherine Scaggs, wife of George Scaggs, at Los Angeles, Calif where she has resided since she moved there with her husband 7 years ago. Her husband, who was a well known grocer here, was in the grocery business at Los Angeles. Mrs. Scaggs came here from Kentucky and her name was Katherine Roach before she was married. Mrs. Scagg's death was due to pneumonia and she died on January 12 or 13. It is not plain in the letter which date it was. Mrs. Scaggs was well and favorably known here, where she was an active member of Trinity Methodist Church and Pythian Sisters. She leaves besides her husband, two daughters, the younger being 16 years old.
